Giving Back
Pacific Structures is committed to building strong and vibrant communities, improving the quality of life, and making a positive difference where we live and work. We focus on giving back to the community in a number of ways, by volunteering our time and talent to non-profit building projects and by our charitable gifts to local organizations.
Plus Three Network
Our employees log physical activities on Plus Three https://www.plus3network.com/ that convert into company-sponsored charitable monetary donations. Through this channel we currently support the following charities:
City Impact Project
In addition to supporting City Impact through the Plus Three Network, we also helped them construct their City Academy through monetary donations, pre-construction services and physical labor. The building provides a safe, nurturing atmosphere for the children of San Francisco’s Tenderloin. This past holiday season employees donated toys and school supplies to the children.
Today's Youth Matters
Beyond supporting TYM through the Plus Three Network, we also have participated in their annual Walkathon in Golden Gate Park.
Junior Achievement Bowl-a-thon
For the past two years we have participated in the Junior Achievement Bowl-A-Thon to help raise money for programs that foster work-readiness and entrepreneurial skills in grade school age children.
Lambda Cabana Breast Cancer Fundraiser
We sponsored a volleyball tournament supporting the National Breast Cancer Foundation put on by Lambda Chi Alpha, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo chapter.
One Warm Coat
For the holiday season in 2011, employees brought in old coats to donate to One Warm Coat foundation. The coats help keep women, men and children in need warm throughout the winter season.
Oakland Warthogs
We help fund the Youth Rugby Program that focuses on teaching kids rugby while also instilling life skills, striving for 100% graduation rate.
Friends of City Planning
Throughout the year Build Group supports events to help fundraise planning activities not funded by San Francisco’s budget.
San Francisco Architectural Heritage
We donate funds for events hosted by the organization, which help preserve and enhance San Francisco’s unique architectural and cultural identity.
Wounded Warrior Project
Last summer a group of employees competed in the Tough Mudder. The event helped raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project that honors and empowers wounded warriors.
